So who do we think will win the battle for 9th forward this season?
Personally, I think this kind of challenge will be good for both of them. Hopefully the competition for the spot will push them to improve, which can only be good for the team.

Not seen Esders play that much, but I agree - it's a bit of healthy competition which can only be good, both for the individuals and the team.

Not seen Lee Esders play either but have to agree that the competition between him and Squires will push them both to be the best they can be! Look forward to see who gets the 9th spot x

I always like Esders when he played at Hull but I am worried about his fitness hasn't he had a bad couple of season with injures? (might be wrong thou)

The other thing I like about running with a 10th forward is the little bit of extra depth it gives the team when things like major penalties come along. Even with one of our forwards sat on a 10 minute penalty, we are still able to roll 3 full lines.
